Product Description The prevaricating pros who helped students glide through seven years of college in The CollegeHumor Guide to College are back to show post-grads how to turn life into an "Easy A" by, well, faking it. From sounding like an MBA to bribing the matre d' to acting sensitive post-sex, here is everything aspiring equivocators need to know to B.S. their way to success in the real world. As the authors remind readers: "The important thing isn't who you are; it's who other people think you are." With this poseur's bible in hand, a generation is poised to go forth and fake it.

Highly Recommended January 6, 2009 I found this book on accident and the title caught my eye. I was looking for a book to entertain my friend who broke his leg and found this. I was aiming for "I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell" and I ended up getting this one too. It's really funny and perfect for the college student/graduate that knows what it is like to just get by whether it be riding coattails or what have you. Great gift, probably more suitable for a guy but I am a girl and thoroughly enjoyed the book and ended up buying myself a copy later on. Good as a coffee table book and to read straight through. Highly recommended.
Hilarious, and - surprise, surprise - a little helpful. October 30, 2008 I'm sure that the last thing that the writers of "Faking It" intended was to dole out actual advice, focusing instead on making sure that their work was first and foremost a funny read. And it is, to be sure.
Those only tangentially familiar with their flagship website, CollegeHumor.com and its collection of user-submitted pictures and videos (some which predate YouTube) depicting all the stupidity and debauchery that is associated with college life, might be surprised to know that the enterprising young men and women behind the website are revealing themselves to be talented comedians in their own right. The staff-submitted articles and videos (many produced in their own office, under the banner "Hardly Working" series) are among the funniest and most popular on the site. And "Faking It" is a well-written, often hilarious - and yes, even informative - guide to college and post-college living.
The book's advice on academia is the first and arguably most absurd portion of the book. Anyone following the advice offered here might very well find themselves searching for a new school before too long. "Faking It" goes on to offer its brand of off-kilter advice on searching for a job, furnishing an apartment, sounding like you know a lot about music, literature, and other aspects of supposed "high culture," dating, even cooking and entertaining guests. It's here, oddly enough, that the book really becomes genuine with its advice. Offering up creative and inexpensive ways to impress dinner and party guests alike, I was really impressed with some of the ideas offered up here. My favorite nugget of advice, though, comes from the section pertaining to dating and grooming: "If you have bad acne, we suggest that you don't anymore."
And I suggest picking up this book. It's a hilarious read that may actually leave you with a good idea or two; provided you can sift them out from the stunningly bad ones.
Simply Wonderful! August 23, 2008 Buy this book, it's great. It's something like 60% funny BS and 40% valuable knowledge that you really can use and probably should have. I got this one and was laughing out loud and so far everybody I've let read it has loved it and most wanted to buy their own copy.
Laughed-out-loud!!! July 11, 2008 Perfect book for recent college grad or immature guys. Great book for a two-hour flight that actually has some good ideas for business. Made me laugh-out-loud several times. Recommend it highly to others like me who need a good laugh and some good mindless reading.

Not only did I find this book on Amazon for a fraction of the price it was in a store, but it took, I think, 2 days max to get to my house. And not only that, it was in perfect condition.
